AlphaPlus Managing Director Alan Paul, a design draughtsman to trade, has been involved in the window and conservatory industry for over 28 years and with over £12 million of installations throughout the Highlands and Grampian to his credit, feels sure he has the knowledge, skills and fully employed staff to help complete most, if not all, Window, Conservatory & Home Extension projects his customers could imagine.

Over the years since the company’s incorporation, in April 2000, it has grown into a real family business, with his son David Paul having served his 4 year joinery apprenticeship and been on the “tools” for about 6 years, he is now the company’s installation and project manager.

Number two son Robin Paul manages the Marketing side of the business and now also runs the sales division aided by his sister Sharon Paul who controls the office administration and showroom.

All of this is overseen by Mum Karen Paul, who also runs accounts and payroll, making this a fantastic local family run business with our own employed time served joiners & builders. We offer a wide range of Residential, French, Patio, Bi-Fold and New Wave Patio doors. Our residential doors are available in a host of materials, PVCu, GRP, GRP-Monocoque, Aluminium and Timber. With all of these systems available in an amazing range of styles, designs, stained glass options and colours, we are sure you will find your new entrance door with AlphaPlus.

AlphaPlus doors will not warp, twist or bow, and will only require an occasional wipe with a damp cloth to restore them back to pristine condition. AlphaPlus doors add the key qualities of superior noise reduction, enhanced thermal performance and on top of all that, considerable extra security.

Our PVCu doors have, as standard, high security “Vectis” 5 lever mortice locks, which are far more secure than the Eurocylinder, which can be “bumped” in under one minute, leaving your house insecure. We also fit a sash lifter to the bottom leading edge, to lift the door into the proper position for closing, reducing the wear on the gearbox and locking mechanism. All doors are fully galvanised steel reinforced in both the subframe and door sash offering a stronger, more secure and durable door system along with two dog-bolts on the hinge side making our system one of the most secure doors you can buy.

With its tough GRP skin, and the latest in high security hardware, the AlphaPlus composite door will give your home a level of protection that makes those inside feel safe and secure. The door core material is manufactured from a high density foam which is OPD (Ozone Depletion Protection) Zero and CFC free, offering strength and excellent thermal insulation, six times that of a traditional timber door.

Our newest addition, the GRP-Monocoque door has a visually concealed hinge, an excellent wood grain finish, and beading that looks like real wood. Glass panels are triple-glazed. All doors are Renolite foil finished, so the door will match the frame perfectly. They are double-rebated, giving you a double seal against the elements. The Monocoque doors come with triple-glazed units, and matching glass is available for sidescreens. Fitted with 4 hinges, and 8-point locking system, makes this a strong and very secure door.


All doors are fitted to a purpose designed, foiled PVCu outer frame reinforced with our unique RCM reinforcement. A Low Threshold option is available designed to comply with Part M, allowing easy access for wheelchair users. All our hardware is salt spray tested for 240 hours giving it enhanced resistance against corrosion, thus ensuring years of minimal maintenance service and performance. AlphaPlus doors are available in thousands of combinations, including sidescreens and fanlights, so sit back and enjoy creating your own door.

All of our conservatories are designed and constructed to withstand the rigours of Scottish weather. The window and door frames are fully reinforced and individually coupled with purpose designed, structural coupling sections. All Alphaplus conservatories use Europe’s leading roofing system – Ultraframe.

Roofs manufactured and patented by Ultraframe are certified by the British Board of Agreement (BBA), have a life of at least twenty-five years and are designed and manufactured to BS 190018 9002 standards. Every phase of the classic system development is exhaustively tested by Ultraframe, before being passed to the BBA for their independent accreditation. Ultraframe were the first roof manufacturer to present a conservatory rood to the BBA and subsequently gain approval. When you purchase an Ultraframe roof you can be sure that you will receive a quality product, backed up with the BBA accreditation.
